I see a "device limit exceeded" message / how do I reset?

This message appears on Trendier Dashboard when you exceed the 2-device registration cap. Contact your account manager with your Dashboard account email to reset.

What this message means

The "device limit exceeded" message is specific to Trendier Dashboard. Each Dashboard account is limited to 2 registered devices. When the cap is reached, login from a new device is blocked until the count is reset.

What counts as a new device

The following actions each register a new device:

  • Different browsers on the same computer (e.g., Chrome β†’ Safari)

  • Re-logging in after clearing cache or cookies

  • Incognito or private mode sessions

  • Switching between mobile and desktop

If you regularly switch environments, your device count can grow quickly.

How to reset

Contact your account manager with your Dashboard account email. They'll verify your identity and reset the device count. Self-serve reset isn't currently supported, but it's being considered for future updates.

How to keep device count low

  • Use the same browser and computer whenever possible

  • Avoid incognito mode for routine work

  • Note that clearing cache or cookies registers as a new device


Common follow-up questions

Does this apply to Library, AI Chat, or other Trendier products?
No. Library and other OTP-based products don't show this message. Starter and Pro plans have a 1-device-per-account limit on Library; if you need more device access on those plans, you'll need an additional account.

Can I increase my Dashboard device limit?
Standard caps apply to most accounts. If you have a team-level need for more devices, talk to your account manager about options.
